“An Initiative to Assist At-Risk Youth, Military Veterans, Ex-offenders and Other “Marginalized” and Under-Employed Individuals in Developing Highly Marketable App/Game Development Skills, Intellectual Properties and Their Own App/Game Businesses. Individual Jobs and Career Needs Situation: U.S. unemployment is still fairly high, now at 6.3% nationwide. However, it is much higher for various groups. For example, it is nearly double for African-Americans/Blacks, about three times a high for Black Teens, and over 70% for Ex-offenders with prison records. Moreover, interviews and hiring are hard to come by for these “marginalized” groups and individuals. I have established a Non-profit organization, Success Warriors, Inc., (www.successwarriors.org) to provide a nationwide “guided self-study” services to assist such individuals in taking control of their own financial destinies. Actions Needed by “Marginalized” and At-risk Individuals 1. Develop marketable skills and Intellectual Properties (IP) through “guided” self-training 2. Put a career focus on the Mobile App/Game industry, which lends itself to individuals being able to work from home or remotely 3. Learn how to become a manager and leader of your own shared business 4. Find a remote, existing, experienced, separate and proven sales and marketing distribution channel (provided by Success Warriors, Inc.) 5. Once marketable skills are developed, individuals should position themselves as both free-lancers and as possible employees of leading industry companies Significant App Industry Business Opportunities: • Over one million Apps are currently available on the Apple/iTunes Store alone! • Windows Store, Windows Phone and Google Play Store heading to over a million Apps available as well • Each iPad, iPhone, Galaxy, etc. Mobile Unit owner, especially children, is requesting a number of Apps. Those devices are shipping in the millions each year. • There is an increasing and non-ending opportunity and demand for new Apps • The highest demand is for “casual” or “micro Apps”, which are relatively easy to be developed by small App development teams • At-risk youth, Military Veterans, Ex-offenders and others are able to set up and participate in such a team, composed of a variety of App skills
